For Meghan The Mamba, a Twitch Streamer, I edited and animated over a video of her and Arielehm dancing together. This project was inspired by the game Just Dance 2024, where the choreography and animation influence comes from. This was a really interesting and challenging project to complete. All animation for the video was hand drawn, frame by frame and overlaid on the footage shot by the great team at Tridipity.

Don’t Rush - Just dance
Youtube Video · Animation & Video Editing · Procreate Dreams & Adobe Premiere Pro
After doing some research on the style of the game and the visual references given to me I began to work on the video editing first. There were multiple takes and different angles so I used multi-cam editing to synchronise and cut the clips so they played together smoothly.
Then it was time to animate over each frame of the dance in a fluid way to enhance the video, but not distract from it. This was the most tome consuming and difficult part of the project as it was the longest animation I had ever done in this way. As it’s frame-by-frame animation, this video contains around 4600 individually drawn images.
